Sashing or no sashing?

Would you just piece these blocks this way are or add a shashing to them? Thank you.

If I were doing this, I would want to frame each one and make it a "star" on it's own. I'd probably have some fun with the different colors in the blocks and frame each one in a color that would bring the fabulous colors out. They are very striking, pretty blocks. Love the pattern.

I actually don't think a sashing is needed with those beautiful blocks. But you could audition different sashings around them just to see if you like it better. I love how you done this in a scrappy way. It is going to be awesome when finished & can hardly wait to see the finished quilt.

Your blocks are gorgeous. I think either way would be fine but if you do sash I would use the prints and vary them among the blocks so you keep the feel of the blocks.

Skip the sashing. When the points touch, it makes squares that you could do really cool quilting in.

I really like hopetoquilt's idea. No sashing and see the alternate patterns. The blocks look great.

I think that butting the blocks together would be great. I think they are beautiful and do not think a sashing would add anything to the blocks.

If you choose to sash, you may lose the white diamonds in between the stars. Diamonds are a girl's best friend!

If you've got a sashing color in mind try laying your blocks on top of the fabric and see if you like the look. I think both suggestions of adding and not adding sashing would look gorgeous, it's what YOU like that counts. The only thing I think that wouldn't work is a print sashing; I think it would take away from the beauty of the blocks. JMHO

I would add sashing, they are beautiful!
