Sashing or not, quilt top completed
 

This is how the top turned out, very pleased with it and can't wait to get it off to the quilters. I'm gonna have her custom it and enter it in this years quilt show. Thanks everyone for all your help.

Thank you all so much. I used two different patterns. One was from a quilt kit I did years ago and the other os from a Carol Doak PP star book.

Thank you so much. I love this pattern and this quilt is for me. The star pattern is in a book called 50 fabulous paper pieced stars by Carol Daok. The setting pattern I'm using from a BOM kit I did several years back, I really loved it and you can use it with any 12 blocks so worked out great. My favorite fabric is the 30's.
