"Scenic-Wonderland in our Station-Wagon"
2 Attachment(s)
This was made for a Mid-Valley Quilt Guild Challenge which is to use the first initial of your first and last name and create a piece no bigger than 120". It really should be Station-Wagon in a Scenic Wonderland because I knew I wanted to create a 55 Chevy Nomad that my husband and I wanted to buy desperately when we were first married. Unfortunately it was purchase this or save for a house and the house won but we coveted this car and I still do. (I put our pictures in the car that were taken last year) It is still owned by a friend of my husband so I get to see it from time to time. The background is suppose to be driving on a forest service road (we wouldn't do this in a collector car!!) as my husband would rather do that than drive a highway anyday! Thank you for looking.

Your quilt pulls at my heart strings because it reflects my era also. Very imaginative and neat in its surroundings. You certainly rose to the 'challenge' in a big way.

What a fun challenge quilt and you really put a lot of thought, detail and meaning into it. Absolutely love it. I made an old style VW pillow for our daughter who had a '77 and put her picture in the drivers seat, a working trunk etc. Things like this are so much fun.

Wow! I love it. We have a 1967 Camaro my hubby bought 39 years ago when he was 14. I'd love to make something similar to this.
