Carolaug,
Could you please tell me what your technique is for matching all those corners? That would be so hard for me to do. I could use some good advice!
Thanks!

@Carol45: it been pretty easy believe it or not. I sew a row of 30 squares, then I just pin the seams. I did do one with out pinning but it did not line up as nice. Oh and if any one is looking for a cabin die...I went to Joanns, blame my son who wants flannel that looks like mens shirts...yup I bought 2 1/2 yards for the backing of his Coast Guard quilt. While there today I noticed all Go dies on sale for 40 percent off...and they had a log cabin die...I just could not resist...bought it. I figure I will be able to use it for more of my scrap busting. LOL I did do another row last night after work and will put together another one tonight, One row each night is really fast and otherwise I would just be watching t.v.

A wonderful way to use up some scraps. Lord knows, we all have lots of them. It's going to be a great quilt!!

as it grows...the scrap pile is growing...as I dig through closets looking for different fabric pieces. I found that the browns found there place next to each other...aurgh...that is what happens when just sewing with not really paying attention to what you are sewing. I think once done I may add a few appliques in those areas to break up the same color being next to each other.

Instead of sewing in long rows, have you considered sewing 4 patches, then sewing the "blocks" together? That's what I do when I sew small pieces together. I feel like I'm making headway faster. LOL.

I love your colors!
