Scrappy Asian LC clam shell
2 Attachment(s)
I usually like to wait until I am done quilting before posting but wanted to share this WIP. I still have to add the border which is the blue you can see peeking out in the 2nd picture.
I have a lot of Asian scraps and wanted to try and make a dent in them. I separated them into darks and lights only and didn't use any mediums. Well a few mediums snuck into this one but I quickly realized the contrast wasn't strong enough so quit using them. Some of my lights weren't quite as light as I wanted so I used them wrong side up and then they were perfect. I precut into 1 1/2" and 1" logs for an offset LC and arranged them in a clam shell setting. I have awesome plans for quilting this but it will be a while before I can get to it. Here is my Scrappy Asian LC clam shell quilt. Oh and it didn't seem like a made a dent in my scraps! I do have to agree with many of the ladies here who say the LC is the best way to use a lot of different scraps. I am really pleased with how this turned out.
