That's fantastic. It's one I've always wanted to do but I just can't wrap my head around the first folding part. (I can't get the hang of origami either)

beautiful... :) I am doing one now using the mock version...I showed yours to my husband,,,quess what he wants one like yours...I was able to scan my block..

The four squares that go into each block began as 8 1/4" squares; the four little 'windows' began as 2 1/2" each.
Finished block is 7 3/4". I was using handwritten notes that gave no dimensions so just guessed at a size. I now know (or think!) that 8 1/2" initial squares would've resulted in 8" block....
Machine pieced & quilted each block before assembling into rows & then sewing all together. Some experienced quilters told me I didn't need to add batting & backing since each block is four layers of fabric thick, plus the little windows. That was a relief!

I'd never tried any kind of quiltmaking and had no idea how much I had to learn!
