Scrappy Hunter's Star.... my first...
1 Attachment(s)
This is a scrappy Hunters Star from the MSQC Jennie Doan tutorial.
I can't even begin to tell you guys how much I learned (the hard way) doing this one... :o Thanks for looking! ~Thats_It_I_Quilt |
This is on my to do list. I plan to start it next month. Anything specific I should watch out for?
Very pretty quilt. A good use for my scraps, I think anyway
Great Wow Factor. I have not seen another Hunter's Star done this way; but, I really like it. Very, very strong eye appeal. Wonderful interpretation of a favorite pattern.
crideout, the MSQC tuorial was very clear, it was much harder to quilt it than to piece it. Probably because I am only beginning to use rulers. This was quilted on my Tiara. If I had it to do over I would quilt an all-over pattern rather than outlining the arrows and stars.

Great use of scraps! It is on my bucket list too!
That's so pretty! I just bought the Accuquilt Hunter's Star die and can't wait to make it. Love that pattern.
it looks great
Nice!!! Love the colors... So bright! One day I hope to make one (u know 1 day is not a day of the week?!!!)
oh yes also, as crideout was asking, I think I should have pressed my seams open (not sure which side to take on that debate, no pun intended) a lot of seams intersecting and misbehaving.

Every quilt is a learning process for me! Your quilt is lovely.
Great job, I love all the colors in it.
Great looking quilt.
Your colors are gorgeous - you have a great eye! I also made this from Jenny Doan's video and I had to keep backing up from my design wall because invariably I had some of those half-squares wrong way round. Even after I had sewn them together.
I like it very much.
Yes, ArtsyOne, I used my seam ripper on a few of those wrong-way blocks as well!
WOW.....your HS is really cool in scrappies!! I never would have thought it would look so nice!!! Very pretty!!! I like it!!
Very pretty. I would love to try this one.

Oooo, I like that. Beautiful; another on my bucket list of quilts to try.
Beautiful! It's so cheerful and so nicely done!
Try one block first before you cut all your fabric! Glad I did!
