this was so ugly I almost did not quilt it-it was a -why did I make top from the ufo basket.looks much better now

It is beautiful. Quilting always makes a top prettier, even if it's just SITD and invisible. I think being DONE makes it look better too.

This reminds me of the quilts my granny would make for me and my sisters to drag around to the beach, camping, drive-in, or wherever. I loved my drag around quilt. It went everywhere with me and so many people wanted my quilt. My granny named them 'drag around'. Good memories!

I think it is beautiful. Your arrangement of the jewel tone colors, soft pastels and prints and the gold metallic stitching of large loopy flowers makes it very appealing and ornate-looking.

It wasn't bad beffore. You were to self-critical. The quilting really nakes it, however.

Sometimes after I 'lose interest' in a quilt, I will throw an allover design on them and use them as a couch throw. Usually, one of the kids will show up and need one to take home....it's pretty easy to say "Take that one"......and it is loved by someone other than me. :)

I made one just like yours for my Gs to take to collage in the fall. I tied mine and every one in my quilt grope loved it.

I am partial to scrap quilts so I would like it even before it was quilted. Your quilting put it over the top. You should be proud of it.
