That was my question also...I think a log cabin is next on my list. I love the scrappy look of yours.

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments. I love scrap quilts and I really don't use a pattern. I will check the size of the strips. I just kept the center square the same color and I find if you use more narrow strips the look is better for me. Checked and they were cut 1 1/2 inches. My first one was made with those 3" strips and it needed something so before I gave it to my daughter-in-law and husband I appliqued a large duck to the side and about 1 1/2 feet from the bottom because it looked so undone to me. That really added another dimension.
I just cut light and other strips plus scraps. The Oklahoma Twister was made because a friend in New Mexico asked me to draft up the pattern for it as she had see it in one of the local papers and loved it and sent me a clipping of it. She did it in blue and white and won a ribbon for it and I have all these 30's to 60 fabrics and decided on scrap. It does take time and keeping to the pattern.
