Scrappy Log Cabin
3 Attachment(s)
Here is my latest completed queen size quilt for dh's sister in Brooklyn. I photographed 2 pics along the river in Providence, RI and the other I had tall helpers (my twin gs's) to hold it up. All fabrics were from my stash. My favorite quilt to make is the log cabin design and I just love scrappy quilts. Used the Creative Grids log cabin 12" ruler. Nothing fancy on the quilting, I should attempt feathers one day. I sure do hope she likes it.

Of COURSE she'll love it! It's gorgeous! I love how you did the border, and the bright green fabrics really pop. Log cabins are really fun to make, aren't they?
IMHO, the quilt is very beautiful. I particularly like your unusual border treatment.

Very nice selection of fabrics.

What's not to love? It's beautiful!

Beautiful scrappy and the setting for the photographs is wonderful, too.
Wonderful scrappy. It is sure to be treasured.
She will love it! I am hooked on log cabins too, they are wonderful. So many patterns. Any hst pattern can be made out of log cabins. When I make several blocks I spend many happy hours, rearranging but usually end up with a traditional setting.
It's beautiful! Great job. Another one that's on my bucket list.
She will definitely love the quilt. Very nice scrappy quilt. I love scrappy too.
Beautiful and thanks for photographing so creatively! I like that aspect as well.
Very pretty scrappy! :)
Thank you all. Actually, the borders are 3" squares. I have a box full of them from a 3" group swap that I joined at my LQS last year. I drive around to find locations that I can photograph my quilts at. I recently bought myself a new Canon camera and I'm pleased with it.

Beautiful quilt displayed in a beautiful setting!

I love how the black really brings out the depth of all the other colors. Don't know why this is so, but that is how it seems to me. Beautiful quilt!
