I agree. If you use the method Sharon suggests, keeping the values of the fabrics it should work out beautifully! Your sister is one lucky gal!

I think your Husky PP is great and all the fabrics you are showing will work out great if you do a placement before sewing to be sure it is where you want the fabric to be. What will your background fabric be and personally I would add some red in the border. It will be beautiful.

I think the different shades in the pattern represent different fabrics. It looks like there are 3 (maybe 4) different colors in the fur, a darker one for the nose pad, and something different for the inner ears. I didn't try to look at the eyes.

I'd copy those fabrics, try placing them on the pattern and switch them around until you get the combo that you like. Love those fabrics for this project.
