Quiltingboard Forums - Scrappy Quilt show

Hi Barb - good question! I'm percolating a few ideas that were inspired by some recent travels - I'd like to do an art quilt to try to capture the beauty of the mosaics and frescos I saw in the excavated terrace houses in the ancient city of Ephesus, Turkey. In the meantime I'll putter away on UFOs that have been waiting patiently for my attention for the past 3 years while I was busy falling in love, marrying and following my tumbleweed husband to exotic locales until finally settling in our current home.

I have always made scrappy quilts,learned from my mother who made quilts from wornout clothes during WW2 when fabric was unavailable. I love them. Still have too much stash to work thru. lol
