Finally, the forum let me upload something else! This one is mostly true scrappy, as many of the fabrics were scraps from square dance outfits. The quilting pattern is ""Fireworks" designed by Judy Lyon at meadowlyon.com.

I've been making a lot of scrappy and scrappyish quilts rhe last couple of years. No plans to stop, either!

The quilting design (done with my own ten little thumbs) is again a Meadowlyon.com design, I think it's "Backwoods" but it might be "Pacific Northwest." (She calls them "pictographs" because they are non-repeating pantographs. 12 feet of different animals - can't be beat for guy quilts!)

I have a better picture of this Trip Around the World, but for some reason the upload keeps failing. The colors are actually much brighter and clearer, not yellowed or muddy. Made from a jellyroll.

Zozee, they finished at 15" before quilting and washing. It's been so long since I made them, that I'm not really sure what size the patches were in the original 4 patches. I'm thinking they had to have been 8 1/2", but maybe they were 9 and I wound up trimming the blocks a bit to get them square. I'm pretty sure I have a 9" square ruler, so 8 1/2" pieces would have been improbable.

(No baby girls around here. :( My DDs are out of the baby-making business, after producing 4 boys. Youngest grandson just turned 12, oldest GS isn't quite 20, so great grandchildren are several years down the road. )

I just love scrappy quilts and I can't get enough of them. I've tried to load a couple of my pix to the thread but right now, I'll have to get a little assistance from the grands on what I am going about. Still love all the pix that have been added to this thread. I am a committed follower of the thread. When I find out what I am doing wrong I will get mine added to the thread.

I have been saying for days that I am going to add pix of my scrappy's and here I go, the first one is of my grandson's 27th birthday present. One that I had been promising him since I started quilting fifteen years ago. The second pix is of a doll quilt for the great-grands.
