This poor quilt looks so sad compared to the beautiful quilts that are posted on the board.
But I guess I am just a scrappy kind of gal... This was done using the leftover material from the braid quilt I posted and a few other fabrics thrown in... It was actually going to be the backing for my braid quilt but the more blocks I made the more I felt it just needed to be a different quilt all together. (my daughter even mentioned that... She doesn't usually make comments one way or another) I was amazed she thought of it too... Carol's scrappy quilt... |

Great job! I love scrappy quilts. What a wonderful way to use up all those odds 'n' ends left from other quilts.
I like it!
And this "sad" quilt is just as warm, cozy and comforting as those other quilts. Maybe even more so because it is the quintessential scrappy quilt. I love it.

That is the least sad looking quilt I've ever seen. It is original, colourful, scrappy and beautiful.

Carol,
You did a wonderful job. I love those blues, greens, and beige colors. Great scrappy! |
There is nothing SAD about....LOVE this quilt
I like scrappy quilts!
Sad??? Not at all!! This is what quilting is all about!!!! Using up whatever is to hand!!! Love it for what it is!! Be proud you are continuing a tradition!!!
And this tradition will never die! Makes you feel like a frontier woman using bits of this 'n that to construct something that will keep her family warm and comfy when those blizzards hit. Great scrappy from one who loves them!
thats cool
you should name that quilt PRIDE.
This is my kind of quilt and the type that I make most often. They are bright, cheerful and provide a warm hug. Best of all these scrappy quilts often end up costing me very little as they are made up of "here you are's" gifts of fabric odds and ends from other quilters or families cleaning out grandma's sewing closet. These are the perfect quilts to share with others!
It's great.
Love it, I love scrappy !!!
