WOW, your quilts are so beautiful. I too have a lot of scraps, never knew what exactly I was going to do with them. I have made many, many "scrappy" family reunion quilts, as family members send me fabric and I make a quilt - I started it as a personal challenge and to create something to be passed on. Fortunately, my quilts have become a hit with the family; which is shrinking. Out of 7 children, my middle brother and myself, "the baby" are the only ones remaining; however, there are many grandchildren and great grandchildren that make it to the reunions which occur every other year. I have a niece who quilts, as well as her husband, and they have a long arm, so two years ago my niece quilted the reunion quilt. At the time I was suffering from a torn rotator cuff repair surgery that failed, so I could only sew for an hour or two before I had to quit, so I really appreciated her offer. I'm 70 years old now, but my niece tells me I'm not ready to retire yet. This year I plan to make a scrappy quilt from all the scraps from previous quilts, and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
