Scrappy tube quilt for a friend's new granddaughter. Trying to use up some of what I already have.

Why is it called tube quilting?

Turned out really nice. It doesn't look scrappy at all. Must be what they call planned scrappy.

It's called tube quilting because you sew strips together into a tube and then cut your pieces from that tube. Google tube quilting and you'll find lots of examples. Also, Missouri Quilt Company has a nice tutorial.
