That is really pretty and I'm with the minority - I like it the way it is. maybe a solid binding picking out a color from the sashing?

I love this pattern, it is so fun and your quilt turned out wonderful.

I think it stands alone, but do some 'auditioning' of fabrics to see what you find most pleasing.

I like it how it is. Sometimes it's nice to not have boarders.

looks great as is -but a boarder would look good too-a black border

That being said, however, if you really need a border, how about using one of the tiny print greys I see on the right side of the picture? I'd also like to know the name/method of this block. Truly love your quilt.

The inside of the block is D4p but I just made it up as I went along--didn't like the look of trying to match seams so added the sashes! Used up lots of 5 " blocks I had made from scraps.
Thanks.

A solid color border would pull all of those patterns together.

If I were to put another border on it I'd go with the grey-green (the darker color in the sashing). Something neutral that lends itself with they rest of the blocks. Very well done!

I would finish it off with a darker border.

I agree. It's a scrappy quilt, so it should end there. I love it though. I'm going to make a d4p soon. Thanks for the ideas!

Actually, your flooring color looks great for a border color. However, if you use something like that as binding I think that would complete it. Sometimes it just a small touch that works better.
