The scruffily quilt is from the Moda bake shop website. I love this line of fabric I bought enough to make three different quilts. I am going to do the one that is actually called "I'm Blushing" from the same site....but it may be a while..I have a list ahead of it. I needed a quick easy project today with mindless sewing on BEAUTIFUL fabric before I start another one for someone else.

Oh I really love that, did you use yardage or from a kit?

They were precuts...1 layer cake and 1 charm pack.....plus I had to cut up 10 squares from another charm pack to make the little squares...the pattern does not call for a border...but I put a border on mine.

Is it appliqued on top of each other? I can't see seams... looks great, very pretty

no it has raw edges on the top...that is why it is called "scruffily"...I guess. After you wash it it will get frayed and shabby chic looking.

Yesd...that is all you do...I have done this with flannel several times....gets all ragedy and soft....but never cotton...although we have a sample of one at LQS that has also been washed several times...and it is holding up well.

This is beautiful -- and the pattern seems pretty quick too! I just printed it out and added it to my to-do list!

I looked, thought the seams are on the outside? no they can't be, I am blind as a bat (not an untruth either).. then I read the posts and it made me smile. I AM NOT THAT BLIND AFTER ALL! I think you will end up with that 'rag' quilt top look after a bit of wear and washing? I have a feeling that one will be a curl up on the couch blanket and no one will feel bad using it which is a good thing right?

I finished this quilt top for my daughter but I cut my own material, she wanted black,red and white. how do you plan on quilting yours?

No...I can't sew at work....I only work 2-3 days a week. SO sometimes I might stay late and long arm. But on MOnday-WED i am free to do what I want during the day while kids are gone to school...so that is when I usually get the bulk of my sewing done. I also sew at night after they go to bed.....I don't get alot of sleep.
