Batiks all the way baby.
|
Love em both - but the batiks will give you a different look. I would be tempted to go out-of-the-box even more and set them in a Grandma's Fan-type setting and add some glitz and glitter. The effect would depend on what color backgroud you choose for your blocks. Black? Beige? I would probably go with the black batik and definately use gold as part of the glitz and glitter.

I'm voting both, will be beautifull all the colors

I'm more of a traditionalist, so I think I prefer the first picture. The batiks are gorgeous, but for this pattern, I would use scraps of everyday cottons.... just my preference, and I'm sure there are a multitude who prefer the batiks. Why not mix and match them in the same quilt? See how that looks.

Gives it a whole new look, love it, great job.

I like the scrappy best.
|
Me too...
|
I like them both although the scrappy does a little more for me. Either one is great.

The scrappy plates look more antique while the batiks look more modern... I like them both.

Batiks, batiks, batiks....I just love how they look!! :)
