These are the quilts I have been working on this past month. The first one is a black and white King Size for my nephew and new wife. The wedding is in Texas and we are driving from Minnesota next week.
The second one is a John Deere quilt I make for the 2 cylinder club my husband belongs to. |
Stunning. It is beautiful You will be leaving Minnesota just as I am coming for a few days
Love the black and white and good job on the quilting. Did you do that? Freehand or machine pattern? Love it.
that's really pretty. :)
I did do the machine quilting. I have a longarm and have been machine quilting since 1993. I still do have a pile to do.

Wonderful quilts. I have always been attracted to black in quilts and yours is lovely. Great job!

You have been busy.

Great quilts!! LOVE the black and white!! Your labels are special also!!
Both quilts are great! Neat headboard in first pic!
Thanks. Bought this headboard from my sister. It also had the Sleep Comfort mattress. They were downsizing. It was almost new. She only used it in a guest room. I originally bought the mattress only, then she asked me if I would like the headboard also. Could not pass that one up.

Wonderful quilts!! And I love the labels :)
Have a great trip!! |
Beautiful work!
Awesome, love the black/white one.
great quilts
Thanks. I was really hesitant about the backing as it was not a rich black like the ones on front, but once I got it on I really like it. It was a wide back only 108" and I needed 120", so I bought enough yardage and added a piece of white to the top of the back. It looks nice. Now they will always know the top from the bottom I guess.lol...

They are awesome....where in TX are you traveling to.....I'm near fort worth.....have a safe trip.
I love both of them! How wide were the strips in the black and white?
The strips were 2.5 inches wide. I bought this in a kit for a lap size and then bought jelly rolls and extra solid black and whites.
The wedding is in Buda Texas, but also am staying longer to do some sight seeing in Texas.
Beautiful black and white!
Both look great!
