Beautiful quilts, great food & bonding time. Sounds wonderful.

How fun! Looks (and sounds) like you girls had a great day! Love the 2 quilts. God bless you all.

Charlotte- the quilt pattern is strip twist from Bonnie Hunter's site- www.quiltville.com. My bff Mary Ann is making one too.
We had a great time, my sister Rose came back and we finished her quilt top. She was never one for sewing but now she wants to bring me her machine so I can go over it so she can sew again. Everyone had a great time and we're talking about doing it again. Only downfall- I offered to let everyone "shop" in my 22 tubs of fabric and take some home. NO ONE wanted any. But then they have never been in a quilt shop to know the value of this offer. I did make them promise not to buy fabric until they came to me first. I left my machine on the table and the ironing board set up so I can play a bit today. I'm watching my grandson and there are only so many times I can watch Cars or Toy Story 3. I'm making a mat for my grandpug to lay on at my dd's feet and pulling out a WIP. |
What a wonderful way to get together with family.

What a fun thing to do. My sister and two nieces are interested in learning to quilt and this has encouraged me to start thinking of a family sew to get them started.
