What a great idea to have your own quilting bee!
|
What a fun day and beautiful quilts

I am sure God looked down and smiled that day at all your love and family!

That looks like so much fun! I don't have any friends or family members that sew. Your projects are beautiful! Glad you had fun. That is what it's all about!

I also have three sisters. It would be lovely to get together and sew, but since we are all mean when we sew ("Leave me alone! Don't tell me how to do it--I'm 55 years old!") it's best we sew at home alone. Sigh!

It looked like you guys had loads of fun. Can I be adopted ?!?!?!

looks like a great get together

For those who had a project, it was a chance for me to help them and for those who needed one, I cut out table runners. My sister Sue wanted to do a charity quilt, since it was make a blanket day. I brought out some orphan blocks I had stitched together and she made borders and quilted it. I bound it today. As we talked, we realized that our brother's girlfriend's DIL is undergoing chemo for colon cancer at age 22 so it is going to Stacey this week. My sister Rose came back today (I think I have a convert) and she finished a quilt top for her grandson. She took home fabric for the backing to prepare for next week. Pics are the quilt top and charity quilt. And some of the group. It was productive. The food was good- I made some things we hadn't had since we were kids- homemade mac & cheese with stewed tomatoes and "monkey meat"- some people call it ham salad. |

I also made an Italian love Cake for dessert. Couldn't believe how expensive 2 lbs. of ricotta is! Cost about $10 for the cake. But it was very yummy- another thing we haven't had in about 10 years. |
How fun! If you need another sister...you can call me!
