Where there is a will, there is a way!!!! Makes us even more thankful for our conveniences in this day and age

Just goes to show where there is a will there is a way.

Oh, my goodness, we ironed with those irons all day, all week. We were so poor we took in washing and ironing. sheets, pillow cases, dish cloths, underwear, slips EVERYTHING HAD TO BE IRONED.ha. We heated the irons on our coal stove.
|
You did well on your "BACK TO BASICS" equipment.

The girl scout Motto is be prepared and you WERE! Life is so much easier when we make the time to be prepared. Not only did you have your quilting prepared but you had water, and heat, and food. Very Smart Lady. Keep safe, I have no TV but hear that you have very cold weather coming in with snow so stay warm and keep prepared.

I am so glad to hear you are safe and hope you have your power back.
|
So glad you are safe. I love this block. I even liked it before you made it into a crab.
|
Impressive survival action plan. Sewing is wonderfully calming. I love your crab block!

[Rosie the "Ripper Quilters are very creative people and you proved that - actually, it was ingenious. Good luck returning to normal and speedy recovery. Keep on quilting! QUOTE]
Rosie took the words right out of my mouth-well out of my brain actually. Always knew quilters were the best. |
Glad you are safe and made the best a bad situation. You are a true quilter. Your friend will love her quilt.

Glad your safe and sound. The things we have that don't need power are so appreciated especially when you lose power for a time. I love your sample the color is so pretty. Keep that iron and treadle machine. Beautiful room with the sun coming thru the windows very pleasant to sew and especially after that storm. Sue
