I would have a hard time getting anything done. I would want to sit and look at the lake!! Looks like a lovely spot.

Nice view!

Beautiful, hope you have more great weather.

We have a cottage on a small private lake and I love to pack up the sewing machine and gain some new perspective. Also just love to handquilt while sitting on the back porch facing the woods or the front deck facing the lake. Other times I just like to sit there and enjoy the peace and quiet doing nothing. Nothing like the water is there?

Now that looks relaxing and beautiful! Do you go there often or only in the summer months? What a view-hubby must fish while you sew!

A terrific spot for sewing the day away! :)

What a lovely place to sew. I love the water. Guess that's why I live on a lake. :)

Hi Lynnie 25, Peace and quiet would be wonderful up at the Lakes this time of year, hope the rain stops for a while, had enough for the summer, where we live at Tomahawk we are being invaded by rotten leeches, not nice slimy horrid things. Cheers H

What a nice view and weather. It is hard to relate because today. It was -43 up herein Yellowknife NWT, Canada.

Lucky You!! Hope your good weather lasts awhile!

Great sewing space but I do so much fumbling and dropping I'd be forever crawling around under the grate retrieving seam ripper, scissors, pins, etc., etc, etc. LOL

Moonglow 11-30-2011 07:32 PM

What a lovely outlook. Thank you for sharing. Tassie is the only state I haven't visited yet. Definitely on my 'to do' list. Happy sewing!

yayaquilts 11-30-2011 07:33 PM

Thank you for the picture. Winter is just starting here and your picture is a reminder that winter doesn't last.

We go there all year round, at least every month or so, although it is a 2-1/2 hour drive up a mountain. We will have 2 weeks there over Christmas / New Year period and spend nearly every weekend there during January / February / March.

Yes, I sew, read or just snooze my time away while hubby goes fishing or he is pottering around doing odd jobs. Since we have owned the shack (we have been going to this shack for nearly 30 years but have owned it outright for about 15 years), he has extensively renovated it, added rooms and the verandah.

A nice little quilt retreat, I could accommodate around 8 quilters quite comfortably :)

Hey fellow Devil :) - yuk, you can keep the leeches, and I guess we will keep the roaming snakes, quite a few about already. Haven't been to Tomahawk but you are welcome to visit the lakes anytime and sit and sew on the verandah with me.
