This was my grandma's sewing machine. My mom and I sew, but she didn't want it, so she said I could have it.
Where do I find the serial number on this machine? |
Lucky you! Can't help you on the serial #, but hopefully someone else will.

mine is a 403, simular to this one. look on the bottom under where the needle goes up and down. should be on that side of the bottom. that is where mine is anyway. hope that helps

Wow, lucky you! That one is on my wish list. The serial number should be where the previous poster indicated.
|
found it - thanks!
It's a 503 Slant-O-Matic. I've got all the manuals, attachments, cams. So excited. I'm remodeling my sewing room right now, so I'll make a spot for it during the remodel. |
I have one just like that. Good machine. I bought mine in 1963 brand new and it still works perfect. They say it is a workhorse.

I have two of those. I gave one to my DIL and she dearly loves hers. She named her Margaret after her grandma. Says she is old but fashionable for her time and gets things done.

I think I'll name it after my grandma too, in honor of her. 1963 was the year I was born...so that's extra special for me. |
Lucky you. I have the exact same one purchsed by my mother in '63. It is the machine I learned to sew on. Enjoy!

I have 1 just like it. My Aunt bought it new in 69 and used it very little. Sews like a dream. Lucky you.
