It's been a long time coming but finally I think I have my perfect hideaway!
Last spring, while replacing the windows in our house we found there was some wood rot around the sewing room window. One thing led to another and this is what I've got now! Absolutely love it!
We fixed the window, removed two deep but small closets, painted, new carpet and finally new cupboards! The cutting table is on wheels but, believe me, you do not want to try and move it!
Tomorrow I finally will get to sit down and sew. I started moving everything out in January and it's now March. February has been a long month! I still have a bunch of stuff in the guest room that I'm thinking will just have to go! No more room!!!

I have to say that I've spent a few years gathering photos of rooms I liked. Gayle's photos of her fabric cupboards were the inspiration for mine. Thank you, Gayle! When the cabinet guy came over I shared all my ideas and he's made them all come true. I am so lucky!

Now I can get back to the BOMs here and finish up a few projects. :o)

Today's the day! I'm giving that room a test run. Time to make a BOM block.
All of you that want to come play, "come on!" We live in very near the Redwoods and that's a wonderful destination for vacations. There are two quite nice quilt stores about 20 minutes away. We can have some fun!
I've been collecting my stash for about 8 years now. When it was in the plastic boxes it didn't seem all that much. Ha! While putting it all away I kept being surprised by 'another stack of fabric.':shock: I had it everywhere.
Linda that "red thing" is a little mesh basket that I use for trash. The ironing board is still a bit of a mess. :roll:
For anyone that is considering redoing their sewing room in the future, near or far, I recommend that you just start collecting ideas. Keep a folder. When the time comes examples everything you want will be there. My only slip up is I should have put locks on those fabric doors. My sisters will be visiting in a month and they love fabric as much as I do! Egads! :lol:
