What a nice room & nice view!
love it

It's going to be great! I hope, I sincerely hope, you have AC in the attic! If it's as hot in your part of Maryland as it is here near Salisbury you're gonna need it!

No AC any where in the house. It was 80 at 7:30 am this morning, when I started cutting grass. We use fans. |
Love your large table !!! Will be great with larger quilts !!! Yay !! enjoy

It's a great room. Will be fun to sew in it.
Would like to have it all finished & put back by the end of the month, hopefully we get a little break with the heat so I can put in a few good days.
I am envious of all your room :D:D:D
I love the attic dormer room! At least that is what the room reminds me of ! I grew up in a house that had dormer windows and slanted ceilings. I think now what a wonderful room it would of made for crafting! It was used for some storage and to hang clothes when it rained. We as kids used to go up there and play. Great memories of that space :)

I was just upstairs working on the one wall. It is raining & has cooled down. Will do more in the morning. I will post more pics when I get this half of the room done. I may paint it since I have every thing moved out. LOL |
Lands I don't know how you do it in that kind off heat, I feel for you . But you are doing some nice work and bet it will be so pretty when you get it finished. :-D
Wow what a lot of work but it looks great.

It is like having a non stop hot flash !! LOL I guess I miss having them, NOT !!! LOL :-D :-D I will post more pics when I get more of the room done, have to check all my paint colors. |
OMGosh. YOu are doing so much yourself. Looks like a big project and I am envious of what you will have when you are finsihed. I love the slanted ceilings. It is like a dormer. I have a walk in attic up above and already have a door added on teh side of the house, you go up the stairs and open it and then you can walk across the whole top. I wanted to have it for crafts but too much for us now. I will keep checking on your progress. I love watching the progress and the wonderful things chaning and getting finished. Stay cool and don't over do it. I remember living in Washington State adn no A/c. I was shocked but then got acclimated and realized they did not need it mostr of the time. Happy adventures. HUGS♥♥

It is looking great, bet you can't wait till it's finished!! Becare working in the heat!!!
Debbie,
I always do alot of things myself. I only ask DH to help if something is a little too large for me to move, but even then I don't ask. LOL I am just stubborn like that !! LOL Ksea - I am getting excited now, the one side is almost ready for paint !!! I will take breaks & drink plenty of lemon water. I bet I have drank over 6 gallons of water in the past 4 days. LOL I am usually a big coffee drinker. :-D |
fantasic transformation!
Wow! You are really transforming that space! I sympathize with the wallpaper stripping - we had a house built in 1860 once and when I started stripping the paper in our bedroom, there were 6 layers on all 4 walls AND 3 layers on the ceiling! You can sit back and be really proud of what you've accomplished! I have a suggestion for the middle room with no windows - you could look into a couple of "tubular" skylights. Even ONE small one would light up your room. We installed one in a room that was always pretty dark, and it looks like a round light that's on all day! That's something you could add down the road . . .
What a task ahead of you! I see you have 2 posts on this. Making me work to find all the exciting things!!!
I love the color of the walls it is so soothing.
gramma mo,
Had checked about tubular skylight, when we had some roof work done. They couldn't promise it would not leak, because of the type of metal roof we have. I am ok with that, because we had what they called " condensation leaks" , there was no vapor barer between original board roof & metal roof, so it would drip & leak. We were able to reuse the metal, it was still in good shape. Well, break time is over, back to muddin :-D Later all !! :-D |

Just wait till I really get painting, hopefully by Thursday. Won't be able to work much tomorrow, DH has an appointment for leg braces to be fitted & grass needs to be cut, so I will see what the evening brings. I just can't sit still very long, with out working on something. LOL  |
