dunno about the ones with the holes in the middle.
I have ones that you put the water in from the bottom. They are called...mother in law pots. Story goes that newly married girls were really nervous serving the new mil tea, so if filled from bottom, water is displaced and when they pour the tea, nothing can spill and no top can fall off. |
so mothers-in-laws are to be feared in any country :)

I just noticed in the picture, there is a MIL one. It's the egg shaped one |
that's so cool. it's amazing how someone, once upon a time, wanted tp impress their mother-in-law and invented this. Probably because she was reduced to tears from a bad experience.

Oooooooooooooh I loooooooooooove the celtic knots !!! Where DID you get them!!!! there are alot of Irish ties here in Newfoundland, and I love appliqueing the celtic knots... what an interesting quilt that would make!

I used to order my celtic fabric from a company on ebay that is out of Canada, but lately Connecting Threads has been carrying some. Not as much variety as the Canadian place. If you'd like the link, let me know, and I'll see if I can find it again.

I checked my emails and found I ordered this from Hancocks of Paducah. good deal and fast shipping. I also ordered the bundle of fabric (their choice) of 10- 1 yard pieces for $19.98. Selection is nice, some things I would never think of choosing.
