Thanks for your kind words. I definitely need to follow a pattern, so for this sweater I found a free one at the Lion Brand site. The pattern is entitled "Child's Easy Hooded Pullover" (pattern #10517). There is another one, similar in style, entitled "Hooded Sweater", pattern #70216A. The sweater I made is a size 2 years. Both sweaters have a number of sizes you can make.

Good luck ... it is not a bad patern, but I found you have to go through and mark your size before beginning!

lovely work. Knitting is great to do and I especially love it on kids.

I love the pattern you used! Beautiful knitted sweater w/hood. Thanks for the pattern. I just printed it out for a future project for my GD's.

I wish I had paid attention when I had a knitting class years ago

Really nice. Looks soooo warm and fuzzy. I knit but make mostly mittens, hats and scarfs. Used to make ski sweaters but no more. I usuallly knit every night after I have sewn a bit, so I better get off here so I can get a mitten made. LOL Nice job

Adorable sweater! You are very talented!

audsgirl 09-26-2011 05:58 PM

It looks wonderful! I'm taking a long break from knitting. My hands cramp up too much, so I haven't finished the sweater I had started for my daughter 3 years ago!

Sweet, soft cuddly sweater. Nice work for a little girl who will be cozy and warm. Bet she feels extra special in this.
