Hmm... tough choice, they are both lovely. I say "no sashing".

I made one for DGGS....I sashed it...Use 2 inch sashing.

It is pretty both ways. But, I think I'd opt for the sashing.

SASH They both are cute but the sash makes the pinwheels stand out.The colors on the pinwheels shows up better I think.
