of course---but i loved the border fabric- and it is what it is :D

I have this quilt loaded & am in the process of quilting it now- i'm using orange thread on the top- have a pink/red/orange hand dyed backing which i am using a veriegated red on the back.

I love this just exactly the way it is! It was destiny that the orange took center stage!

There must be something in the air... I have been obsessed with the color peach as of late.

About a decade ago, I went thru a similar phase & made something like 6 peach quilts in a row! Needless to say, that cured me... LOL!

Me, too. My BFF LOVES orange & I've always wanted to make her an orange quilt (even bought some FABULOUS orange fabric for one a couple of years ago), but just never could make myself do it. These are really inspiring, tho. Hmmm... one more thing on my ever-expanding to-do list? LOL!

Pantone is the group that decides the "color of the year." And you're right; it's a tangerine tango is the orange this year!!

I made a modified bento box quilt last year with your colors, this is a pic of some of the blocks. MIne was a full sized quilt, but you could make just a few blocks for a wall hanging. I saw the tutorial at filminthefridge. Just google it, I'm sure the tute is still available.

This is a quilt I made for my DGS whose favorite color was orange. But, by the time the quilt was finished, his favorite color had changed to red.

this was a swap, all orange blocks. one has a small orange button on it. called Oranges Galore.

I did a small dresden plate with each piece a different orange fabric. Not peach, not coral, orange (my favorite color). For years I'd go to shows and search and maybe find one new orange fabric to add to my collection never thinking the day would come when it would be so easy to find. I put my plates on a black background and no, it doesn't look like Halloween. Hope you find exactly the pattern you're looking for.

WOW!!! there are some FABULOUS orange quilts on here! i love them all!!! makes me want to make another one :) everyone of them is unique- and wonderful- keep adding more! i love coming back & looking at more- i need to take a new picture of my french braid one now that it is quilted & bound---i quilted it with orange thread on top & a veriegated red on the back (the back is a fabric i dyed which is pinks/orange/yellow) my hubby thinks it's one of the best i've made in a while- & now thinks i need to keep doing braids- in greens, blues, purples...one for each color out there...he doesn't want much :)

Jammin' Jane 04-24-2012 02:50 PM
