WOW !!!
LOVE THE PICTURE SHOW.
It was great.

Lisa 03-07-2009 05:56 PM

Thanks for sharing those pic's, it is always amazing what some quilters can do, inspiring also! I fell in love with the yellow Best of Show quilt, if only............

butterflywing 03-07-2009 06:00 PM

that quilt has open spaces between stripes of tubing around the inside and outside. the center work is astonishing in person.

farscapegal 03-07-2009 06:09 PM

I was at this show and there were some amazing quilts. I still have my pictures on my camera. I need to get them put in a folder.

Thanks for sharing.

Shadow Dancer 03-07-2009 08:14 PM

WOW!!! I am speechless! To say they are beautiful feels inadequate...but they are beautiful! :)

Jim's Gem 03-07-2009 08:23 PM

Beautiful quilts and lots of wonderful handwork. Thanks for sharing with us!!

butterflywing 03-07-2009 08:28 PM

i should probably have mentioned that the red, orange and yellow with all the black and white prints? the reds and oranges and yellows are hand dyed so that the colors sort of bleed into each other. makes for a lovely edging.

remember the 60's? all those tie-dyes? uh-hu, but much more sophisticated.
even the blacks and whites are kind of psychedelic . great little wall hanging. and i don't usually prefer them. i like BIG! (my dh is 6'4" and i'm 5'2")

Wow! Amazing how that baltimore didn't make first place!! That must have taken a lifetime to do.
The workmanship in these quilts is exquisite! The bright colors are shocking at first.

Isn't it something how different parts of the country has such different workmanship and colors!

butterflywing 03-08-2009 01:46 PM

i agree. but someone did pm me that she saw the yellow/gold quilt at another show. i wonder if it won anything there.

also, i totally agree that the baltimore quilt should have been the big winner. if you saw that in person you would have gasped.

Mrs. Mel 03-08-2009 02:06 PM

Mousie 03-13-2009 04:30 PM
