I wanted to post a picture of a quilt I am making as a shower curtain. I just have the blocks done. I am still working on putting sashing and a border on. Because I am making a shower curtain out of it I won't be putting batting in it or quilting it. I will be tying it off. The pattern has twelve blocks that are 18 1/2 square. I am just using 9 of them and the curtain will measure 70 x 70 which is what a purchased curtain is. My sashing is pink. I will post another picture when done. Thanks for looking.

Have fun!

Very Pretty blocks. I have made a shower curtain as a gift about a year ago using frog fabric. It turned out really pretty wish I would have taken a picture of it.

Would be a great design for a wall hanging or bed quilt too! I did put a flannel "batting" in my shower quilt thought then when I got tired of it as a shower curtain I can use it for a summer quilt.

Lovely blocks! I altered a shower curtain to use in a fundraiser I was doing for basset hound rescue last year. Actually I've done two but here's a picture of the first one and towels I made to go with them. I had no clue what I was doing and had never appliqued anything before so tried to figure out the most forgiving way to do it.

Very pretty! I really like quilts as shower curtains. Both of mine are quilt tops. Thought if I ever change them out, I could always go back and add batting and backing and quilt them. Can't wait to see yours finished.

dgmoby 08-18-2011 04:01 AM

Your blocks are going to make a very cute shower curtain! I can't wait to see it. Been thinking of this same thing lately, since I cannot find what i want...but wasn't quite sure of that either!

Be sure to post it when completed! Great job :)
