Not ugly, but I think a silhouette would be great and I do think larger would work good. Great choice for that as it does give the movement of falling rain.

Nice effect. It does look like falling rain! If I were going to enlarge it, I would frame it with a single fabric then add the piano keys. It's not ugly.

If this quilt top is ugly, I guess I love ugly. Really like the silhouette. Which ever size you choose will be nice.

I concur that this is not ugly...like the silhouette very much...creative...I like the idea of some rain drops coming down the quilt...do NOT like the idea of the piano key border...too much and will distract from the focal point of the little girl. I think just a bigger border as has been previously suggested.....Good going!

Add a very large flower applique or silhouette, add a row of pinwheels. The piano key border would be great. Think outside the box. I have made several simple quilts that turned out to be fantastic with added design.

I ABSOLUTELY love it. Does not even look like a scrap quilt. The black just ties everything together.

I don't think it is ugly at all!! Scrappy quilts are my favorite kind of quilts. I even like the bindings to be scrappy too! I would leave it as is.

It looks great. I'd probably make the umbrella girl a bit bigger, but whatever her size, she is a cut addition. I love the black sashing with your blocks. I wouldn't put a border on unless you specifically want it a bigger size. I think it looks great as it is.

Like so many others I don't find it ugly at all, and I LOVE that silhouette! I am making a similar one soon and I may steal you idea and put a silhouette of a running dog on it...

The quilt is gorgeous, as it is. I think the silhouette gives it a little sparkle, but she needs to be a little larger, I think.

I think the quilt is beautiful. I saw a quilt that had a cute little black dress appliquéd on it. It was a simple strapless shape that made the quilt so interesting. Might have seen it on this board.
