Your definition of ugly does NOT match mine! I think this is wonderful and the silhouette adds a dash of whimsy ... LOVE this! but then I love scrappy and strip pieced blocks. Great job. I don't even think you need to add the piano keys, I like it as it is.

Ugly? No No....it's beautiful! And the silhouette is darling! I'd make it larger. Piano key border would be nice too but it's fine as it is now. That silhouette idea is great!! But by no means is this ugly!!!

oh my! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR QUILT! It was beautiful before the silhouette but the silhouette adds something even more to it! I agree with you that the silhouette could be a bit bigger. I love how it looks like she is walking through rainbow rain!! If you still think it is "ugly" then by all means you can send it my way :) I would love it and hug it!! :)

I would make the silhouette bigger. The stripes remind me of rain and the silhouette will be the perfect compliment to this quilt. Congratulations. Not ugly at all!!!!

I think the silhouette a little bigger, but not from one black line to another; either shorter, taller, or placed in the middle of the blocks. Just imho.

The black sashing really makes it look good.. My group has done many of these. I actually add a wider black border too so I have a wonderful plce to put feathers. I love the silhouette.

Great idea to add the silouette. Either way bigger or as it is. I like the idea of the small because it surprises you when you find it instead of drawing your attention.

Love scrappy, I would just add two calming borders to direct the eye to the quilt itself. I don't think you need anything but anything is what you apparently CAN DO. The unexpected can be fun but larger would detract from your quilt.
Think about where you cut out is going and how your little person will get there! Thank you.

The quilt is just adorable! The little girl really makes it cute. I noticed some red with white poke-a-dots fabric at the end of the next to the bottom row. If you could find some more of that, it would make a great 3" border. Thinking the piano keys would make it very busy. It will sure make some little girl very happy!:o

I love it exactly as it is. The Silhouette is the perfect size, made me do a double take, as it was an unexpected surprise.

I like it the way it is. I agree that piano keys would make it look too busy. It just needs a 3" - 4" border and that will do nicely.
