Today's finish. My son chose the fabrics for this quilt from my stash. He saw me looking at the pattern online and said he thought I could make it without the pattern. He was right, and he seems pretty pleased with the results. That's all that matters to me. Please ignore the man (DH) making the goofy face. It's hard to find good help these days ;-)

Those colors just glow against the black background. Love it!

That pattern has intrigued me since the first time I saw it. You did a great job! And with no pattern!! I'd say it's a thumb's up on that one, DebraK. That may be a silly face but I'd say he is really proud of your accomplishment!

Very pretty quilt, I'll bet your son will love it for a long time. My brother had a quilt with black background that my mother made and he completely wore it out.

I had at least 2 yards of each in my stash. I don't remember what I actually used and the remainder is gone. I started this quilt a couple of years ago. It languished in various stages for awhile so I don't remember the early details.
