Simple Simon - 3rd place winner
 

I made this quilt for a guild challenge and it took 3rd place! The name is "Simple Simon", design by Jodi Barrows.

What a curious and strange optical illusion the stars represent when you look at them. You begin to wonder if they are red (brown? I'm not sure of the color on my monitor) or white. lol It's a cute pattern.

I, too, enjoy looking at the way it alternates between white stars and red/brown. Nifty quilt, well made!

Simple design but lovely

Very nice! Did you use her square-in-a-square ruler? I have it and only used it once and ended up cutting off my points :(h. so it sits...I need to get it out again and practice!

Yes, I used the special ruler. I went to one of her classes to learn how to do it.

We had to make a quilt using only 2 colors, and they had to be solids.
