I spent the last couple of days doing some dedicated cleaning up of the studio, so I thought I would post pics of it while it's still clean. :) Hopefully, it'll stay this way a while. In the second pic, you can see the edge of a loveseat in the room for sitting, and behind it (out of camera range) are bookshelves with all the quilting books I've collected. At the far end of the room is the "pit" where I piece tops, and my wife and daughter have their machines down there as well. The whole studio area is about 11' x 25'. Wish I had more, but this works! :D

mcdaniel023 12-12-2010 07:26 AM

Fabulous space.

sewsewquilter 12-12-2010 07:29 AM

I remember the first pictures of this area when you joined your wife in it. It has really changed. A lot more toys. :-)

pvquilter 12-12-2010 07:38 AM

Wow! Nice studio. Mine is part family room and sewing area. Never use the family room because there are just 2 of us. I should just conver it all into sewing area.

quilter68 12-12-2010 07:42 AM

WOW OH WOW!

charmpacksplus 12-12-2010 07:43 AM

Now that's a nice studio! It's exactly 11' x 25' bigger than mine, unless you count my 3' x 5' dining room table where I usually sew, that right now has no sign of being a sewing space.

Rebecca VLQ 12-12-2010 08:11 AM

Awww! Eddie, it's LOVELY!!! :D

KathyAire 12-12-2010 08:25 AM

WOW. That looks like a quilt shop rather than a personal studio. Nice space.

Ditter43 12-12-2010 08:28 AM

I want one for christmas just like yours. Of course I would need a new house and my own teach because I don't know the first thing about longarm quilting. I'll put it on my christmas list. LOL Nice Studio!!

that is so nice!!! I'm turning my garage into my sewing room and it's just about the same size as yours. I was worried that I wouldn't have enough space, but seeing yours makes me think I can make it work. Thanks for posting pics!!! :)

Eddie, it works indeed. Looks like a good place to nest and sew! Love how you rigged up the overhead lights over the frame. I wish I was that organized!

AnnaK 12-12-2010 12:31 PM

I'll trade you your 11 x 25 for my half of a 10' x 12'. You are very organized and I can see why you are so productive. Thanks for sharing with us Eddie. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Harmony 12-12-2010 12:33 PM

I keep telling myself that the reason I don't have a longarm is because I don't have room for it--and I really don't. Still.......I think your space is wonderful, and it's even cooler that your wife and daughter share the same space so you can all work together!

MaRanda 12-12-2010 12:38 PM

What a beautiful area to get lost in! Happy quilting!!
