I missed this year! The weather was only about 80 degrees, compared to others, that would classify as cool. Usually warmer, one yr I was there and it was around 100. :?

NEED MORE PICTURE! please

Or a link to your photo page? please

Nothing like seeing pics from a quilt show to make us feel that we are there. I love the details on the pine cones on the one your mother did on retreat. Lovely art quilts. Inspirational.

Thank you so much for sharing. It is a wonderful show, wish I had been able to go.

Tartan 07-10-2011 10:09 AM

WOW, thanks for the eye candy! If I didn't love quilting so much, I'd throw in the towel after seeing such talent.

KLO 07-10-2011 10:09 AM

Thanks! I tried to go to that site but it came up as "domain name expired on 7/02/11 and is pending renewal or deletion". Interesting. However, with the name you gave, I did find it here.

That is a quilt pattern designed by June Jaeger. She works at the Stitchin' Post. I can't remember the name of the pattern. Her company is Log Cabin Quiltworks but I am not seeing that her website is working now. She also designed the camping type quilt also in the above photos.

Dotha 07-10-2011 11:54 AM

Thank you for the photos. I loved the first one..being stuck in traffic. I sure would have liked to have seen the Mad Hatter's quilt display. I am kicking myself for not going. Thanks again for sharing with us.

I got one photo to come thru so far! This photo Linz83 posted already and is a much better photo but I wanted to reference to it. This group of quilts was from a book club in Portland, OR. It is called, Cover to Cover Book Club Quilters. They all read the same book, in this case it was 'Alice in Wonderland' and then interpret the book through a quilt. What a unique quilt/book club, right?! I spoke with the 'Lovely Miss Mad Hatter' for a few moments. The quilt she is standing in front of was her quilt. So many people were so enamored with this entire display of quilts. Perhaps one of our members here is a part of this group and could explain further.... but I believe their goal is to stretch as a quilter. This lovely lady explained she had never before done an 'art quilt' and was scared to try. I think she succeeded quite well!! As I mentioned before I will add to Linz83's photo repertoire.
