this is from a picture I took in the Ouchita mountains, my only try at landscape quilting.with raw edges( i don't really like the rew edges but some of you have give me some great ideas.I'm not a great photographer.

yes, I have painted with oils,tried water colors , could not get the hang of it, so I gave it up.
I also did this scene in oils, it was a lot of fun
