Okay, since I'm new, I'm posting a pic of my sewing area! Yep. it's my bedroom. Most of my fabric is stored under the bed :( I posted this for anyone else who feels a bit cramped at times!

MistyMarie 06-13-2010 07:24 AM

I love your retro table in front of the window. How nice to get to sit in the sunlight and let the creative juices flow.

tortoisethreads 06-13-2010 07:29 AM

It's a wee little table. When it's time to machine quilt I bring out a folding table to put next to it!

bearisgray 06-13-2010 07:30 AM

Looks like a nice roomy bedroom, though.

mrsdralshhadeh 06-13-2010 07:36 AM

big things come in small packages my friend,,lol...

charmpacksplus 06-13-2010 07:36 AM

What a great little space. It's so neat!

Pam 06-13-2010 07:40 AM

A pretty, tidy place to be creative, looks like you have all that you need today!

dglvr 06-13-2010 07:41 AM

It looks like a nice sewing area. Nice and neat. I could never show mine. My house is not to bad but looking at my sewing room you'd think you'd see me on the hoarder show.

I live in a two bedroom apartment I wish I had as much space! I cram my plastic fabric bins in my closit I keep my paterns in a filing cabinet and my vanity is also my sewing table. I strech out on the coffee table for biger progects and consider my floor an assed and just try real hard not to louse pins in the carpet!lol (my other half gets a bit testy when he sees me sewing and keeps his shoes on)I like how orginized and tidy your'e room is!

amma 06-13-2010 07:54 AM

You have a beautiful room, and the view out the window is wonderful!!! I love your sewing table/chairs!!! :D:D:D

littlehud 06-13-2010 08:11 AM

That is so cute. I'm glad someone has a little area like me. It's OK. We can still do big things.

CarrieAnne 06-13-2010 08:15 AM

Its a cute little area!

sewsue 06-13-2010 08:16 AM

Just love the cozy area and all that sunlight and light.

Luv Quilts and Cats 06-13-2010 08:26 AM

I love your little space! It is so cute and right next to the window, which is great!

dkabasketlady 06-13-2010 08:37 AM

That's how I started too only I was in the spare bedroom. Finally DH says, "Let's take the bed down." I did, but it's still in the room propped up against the walls, so space is still limited. We make our spaces work for our needs. Your space is very organized and I love your TABLE, it brings back memories of growing up!!

thequilterslink 06-13-2010 08:48 AM

where there is a will there is a way. You have put your space to great use.

ejpkam 06-13-2010 08:56 AM

I love it! Plus you dont need tons of space as long as you got talent and a love for quilting

patti-cakes 06-13-2010 09:24 AM

Love that table too! You've used the space to create a great spot. My sewing corner is also in my bedroom. Think I will move some to storage under the bed and re-design my closet to hold some more sewing supplies. Some of the stuff I have in there I never use.
Good inspiration - thanks for sharing!

Just wondering if you use the mattress as a design wall?

That is a wonderful space, and love the table the machine is on. I recently posted a pic of my space on here, which is between the door and closet of my bedroom. A little space is better than none!!

Looks about the same size as the hotel room we had for 3 months. While working out of state. Husband wanted to sew while I was at work and I told him go for it .Did quilts for Christmas of "08" in my room. Thank heaven they had a large floor in the lobby. Used it to pin everything together there.

topazgypsy 06-13-2010 06:53 PM

What a quaint lil sewing area... wish mine was that neat and tidy... I also like your retro table and chairs...

tmg 06-14-2010 02:29 AM

I fill your pain I do mine at the dinning table. When we eat I have to clean every thing off the table. Not fun at all.

reginalovesfabric 06-14-2010 05:26 AM

how neat your sewing space is, mine looks like Katrina's sister visited

Mundy Woodbeck 06-14-2010 05:38 AM

this is very nice room myself I like it

Connie Merritt 06-14-2010 06:34 AM

This shows your love of quilting. It may be small to some but I bet you create great stuff in it. Good luck and happy quilting. Good thoughts, also.

quiltlin 06-14-2010 07:01 AM

It might be small but I bet it does the job and you have wonderful light and a beautiful view.

AnnaK 06-14-2010 07:24 AM

It's amazing how we make things work when we love our quilting. When I moved into this house all I had was a small computer desk just big enough for my machine and a few tools. Of course, I didn't have a stash to speak of then. I am still in cramped quarters because I have half of an office and a closet. You know how it is, nature hates a vacuum!

What a great idea, using the lobby to pin. I 'll bet you had lots of curious onlookers. And I love it that your husband sews!

Merrilin 06-14-2010 07:35 AM

I had guys asking if that quilt was for them. I said sure if you want to pay for it. No takers there. But it was fun to come back in the middle of Dec. and have most of Xmas done.
