This is my new log cabin quilt. It's queen size it measures 93x93. I got the pattern from Judy Martin's log cabin quilt book. The quilt is called Snake River Log Cabin. There are 1088 1" inch red squares. There also are 1348 1" inch "light" squares. there also is 1936 one inch "logs". Plus the inner border pieces.

It took me three weeks to cut the fabric and 5 months to piece it all together.

I love her quilts. I am making one now and have made several of her Monet wedding ring.

It was totally worth every minute you spent on it. That is one beautiful quilt.

That means there are 4,372 pieces that are 1" not including the border pieces so throw in a couple thousand more and you probably have at least 6,300 pieces or more in the quilt! Congrats to you for sticking with it! Perseverance paid off! It is so stunning to look at and reflects the light beautifully! Gorgeous design from JM! Love her books and work too!
