Here is an update! I have the top fully pieced. It is a pattern from "Batiks: Inspired from Bali." Great book!

I'm going to baste it tomorrow. I purposefully made it more LONG than anything since my dad is lanky. :)

Batiks are so perfect for this lap top, they are so interesting to look at on thier own. He is going to love it!

To get off the subject just a little, do you play those instruments in the background? I love music in the home.
