I was just chatting (my first time) and mentioned I was done snowdyeing all the fabric I wanted so Spring can come anytime. Some people chatting had never seen snow dyeing so I am going to try to post some photos of quilts where I have used it.
This is handpainted pansies done on the snow dyed fabric The lighter fabric is also the snow dyed This is the eagle panel with the turqoise snow dye |
I went to my first quilt guild meeting the other day, and a lady who does this brought some samples of her dyed fabric and explained how to do it. Very neat!

But I couldn't get a good purple I kept getting fushia. My house is too cold where I dye. So I went to Ritt dye. After the snow melts, you have to set Ritt dye. So I nuke it. They say two minutes for each half yard of fabric |
That is very lovely fabric. With all the snow we have here I should try this. I would have been happy getting fuschia as that is one of my favorite colors!
