They are simply lovely!

ljptexas 02-10-2014 04:57 AM

Very, very pretty! Want to share pattern? It is PP?
I really like anything with blue…..

VickyOH 02-10-2014 06:20 AM

Very pretty. Can't wait to see February's block.

janiesews 02-10-2014 06:30 AM

Both are beautiful! Love those snowflakes.

GreyQ 02-10-2014 06:39 AM

Brilliant and they are 6 sided!! A small pet peeve of mine when people confuse stars (8 pts) & snowflakes (6 pts).

Beautiful snowflakes! I may have to find a stand like that too! :) Thanks for inspiration!

BuzzinBumble 02-10-2014 09:17 AM

First of all QuiltE, your snowflakes are amazing! And then on top of that your idea for a little quilt to display each month is wonderful! What an inspiration you are!

Stitch124 02-10-2014 09:19 AM

Adorable idea!!!

maryellen2u 02-10-2014 10:36 AM

YEA! What a clever project. I love snowflakes and today I am digging out from about 6 " worth of them. Good luck on your monthly BOM. You just might start a new fad.

MargeD 02-10-2014 11:26 AM

I love the snowflake blocks -can't wait to see what you do for each month. Maybe I'll join you now and again.

Iraxy 02-10-2014 11:43 AM

Love the idea! Love the snowflakes even better! Beautiful fabrics and incredible piecing!

lfstamper 02-10-2014 11:51 AM

Love your snowflakes!

Beautiful! I am working on a similar project, but I hang mine one the front door instead of a wreath. I also have a spot over the mantel in the living room that can accommodate an 18" X 36" banner next to the antique schoolhouse clock. Am thinking of making at least one banner for each season to start with and maybe add monthly ones later.

Thanks for the links everyone. QE you've started another thread everyone loves to follow:thumbup: And yes I have saved the small snowflake pattern! Yikes--more PP'ing, but I have fabric for it!

Re: snowmen leave my home when my farmer DS casually tosses this Bob the Snowman to me with "get rid of this, Mom!" I give Bob a couple more weeks at best. This is Bob after the flurry of 7 Grands and 6 adults coming in from the out doors.

Face it OKSGlad ... you give Bob too nice of a home to live!
He ♥ you! :D:D:D:D

maryellen2u 02-11-2014 01:40 PM

THANKS! Now I need the February pattern and time to catch up. It's okay I always seem to be a few months behind!:D

Judith1005 02-14-2014 06:58 PM

Lovely! I will look forward to seeing what else you come up with for the rest of the year.

February was done, just in time to finish out Valentine's Day.
I think I should switch to doing my blocks, the month before, so I can enjoy them all month long!
If you'd like to know the story behind this Valentine ... please check out this thread.

love them both.

Loved this! Of course, then I had to find the link to the pattern only to discover that the link didn't work anymore and that back issue of Quiltmaker was not available. So what do I do? Spend forever on the computer searching for a similar snowflake pattern but couldn't find one I like. Oh, well, it wasn't like I was going to actually do any housework otherwise, lol. Do love yours. I have often thought of doing the same but thinking is as far as I got. Maybe now......

Thank you ...
Anything to keep you from doing housework!!! :):)
Yes it seems the link for the single block no longer is available. While the magazine back issue may not be available, you can still order the full pattern via the link that was given.
