While hubby was gutting the kitchen, I started a quilt for me. Flannel and chennile. Nothing fancy just something to snuggle in when reading a quilt book or watching TV.

One for me

The quilt is very nice.

The kitchen. WOW!!! I've been through remodels before. Yours looks really great.

beachlady 12-27-2008 08:21 PM

Have fun with your new kitchen.

Love your snowman quilt.

b.zang 12-27-2008 08:26 PM

Hmmm, to snuggle up under that cozy-looking quilt, or to keep sewing, that is the question.

Thanks for the before picture. Waiting anxiously for the after one.

ania755 12-27-2008 08:39 PM

Quilting Aggi 12-28-2008 05:36 AM

sandpat 12-28-2008 06:45 AM

Oh Pam, I love your quilt!!!! I haven't worked with flannel yet...or chennil. Yours looks sooo cuddley!

Let us know how this remodel is going...I can't wait to see your new kitchen!! We are still debating..remodel or tear down and start from scratch. The debate isn't moving very quickly..

Bevanger 12-28-2008 06:50 AM

Quilt4u 12-29-2008 07:22 AM

Love the quilt. And that kitchen is going to look great too.

KGoodhand 12-29-2008 09:17 AM

I love your snowman quilt!!
I want to make one for myself and my two daughters just roll their eyes at me at the thought of another snowman! I would love to add something like that to my collection! I will have to start looking around again for my snowman fabric!
Hopefully your kitchen makeover doesn't take too long! Although that does leave more time for quilting!! You lucky girl! Best of both worlds - a new kitchen and time to quilt! I am envious!

Mamagus 12-29-2008 03:02 PM

I love the quilt!
And as for the kitchen re-modeling... I just cringe when I think of what I have ahead of me!! You are several weeks ahead of me but we also have to re-sheetrock the entire livingroom as part of the reno. We are moving everything to the middle of the room, cover it with dropcloths and hope to be finished by Easter!!

Good Luck!

mgshaw 12-29-2008 03:04 PM

Well it is day 16 of the kitchen remodel and hubby is almost done. I just need to get the door handles picked out and and let him get them on.

Hubby and one son-in-law installed all the cabinets and the other one did the wiring for the new microwave.
As for the quilt I haven't got anymore done to it. maybe now I can get to back sewing.

Only took 16 days. I think he did a great job!!!

Great looking kitchen. Brings back memories from when my DH remodeled our kitchen about 12 years ago. If anything could go wrong it did and one day when I got home from work there was a sign on one of the cabinets " If a__holes could fly this place would be an airport"
Needless to say I didn't have to ask how it had gone that day!! Anyway, it got finished; was just what we wanted & was beautiful. Enjoy your kitchen and thanks again for bringing up the memory!!

Shadow Dancer 01-10-2009 08:40 PM

16 DAYS??? Did you say DAYS??? My DH took up a toilet to "fix" it. One YEAR later I hired someone to come and put in a new one. Yup 12 MONTHS! And I didn't tell DH the guy was coming to do it. That is how projects go around here! You are one LUCKY lady to have such a fabulous "work crew".

Love your new kitchen! I can not even imagine how long that type of project would be here. Not brave enough to find out

sewjoyce 01-12-2009 05:19 PM

Beautiful kitchen -- I am so jealous

Mousie 01-12-2009 08:13 PM

maybe it won't be sooo hard to stop the sewing machine now and cook a little, lol. I think most of us wish we had a fridge and a toilet in our sewing rooms sometimes. Then my hubby would have good reason to call it my cave. I guess he thinks i hibernate in there. hmm, well, maybe I do, but if i had a kitchen like that....woo wee! C

SulaBug 01-13-2009 12:36 AM

Pam.........your kitchen has turned out so nice. I bet you feel like a Queen with such a lovely new place to cook in. Enjoy!! :D
