Have been working on a table runner for my sister for Christmas. It is my own design with the artistic help of my DH. Going real well just not sure how to finish the edge. While sewing I was singing Frosty and decided I needed to add buttons. I need to add the backing and edge. Have a thin bias I could use . any other ideas?

Cute! I love snowmen!

Very cute! If you are quilting it with a batting and backing I would use a wider binding than the one you show. JMHO

A wonderful job.

Wow I love it are you planning on selling copies of your pattern, if not I would love to borrow your idea if that's ok. I would applique it to a rectangle of a solid color.

I love snowmen and collect them. Your wall hanging is adorable. I like the bias tape.

IrishNY 10-31-2010 02:09 PM

You could sew it to the backing with right sides together and just turn it right sides out so you don't need to bind it at all.

It is very cute - you should be proud!

Me too,what LUANNH said.

sandyo 10-31-2010 02:11 PM

I could trace one out for you if you like. I really wanted to have a not rectangular finished project but it could easily be done that way.

sandyo 10-31-2010 02:12 PM

yes that would work, thanks not sure why I did not think of that.

That is a great job. I too, think you could make money designing patterns. I like the wavy edge vs. a square rextangular one. Very unique. Please keep showing us your projects.

DebraK 10-31-2010 09:14 PM

I would use something dark blue and starry for the background, and then use maybe something goldish, then rich colors of your choice for the borders. Hey, you asked!

deltadawn 10-31-2010 11:41 PM

This is so cute. Do you have a blog? Could you do a tutorial so others could duplicate this darling pattern?
