This is the first snowmen for this quilt top, oh the trees were such a pain. And what was I thinking there are a tree in just about every block. Block not pressed yet or trimed.

Teacup 07-08-2013 11:30 PM

Ohhh, that's cute! The trees may be a pain, but what wonderful blocks you'll have when you are done!

rootyr 07-09-2013 01:47 AM

Plumtree 07-09-2013 01:48 AM

even tho the trees are a pain they are beautiful! I love how you can read bird seed on the sac, I can't get my embroidered words to be legible. Can't wait to see the next 11 :-)

Grandma Peg 07-09-2013 02:34 AM

That is really cool. Going to be a beautiful quilt.

I buy alot of my patterns from here as well.

buddy'smom 07-09-2013 04:16 AM

Thank you, I'm using satin thread and even though it say's to use 2 strands I'm using one, as with the small print of pattern 2 make it look really thick and blend together.

Cute snowman block! Your stitching is always so lovely~

callie 07-09-2013 01:33 PM

Really cute and lots of work! That is going to be a really darling quilt when you are done. I am in the process of doing a snowman applique quilt and we are doing two months at a time. Have the first 4 (except had stitching) done and still working on 5 & 6. We will both have awesome quilts when we are done.

Judith1005 07-09-2013 01:35 PM

Sweet, I love your handwork.

buddy'smom 07-09-2013 03:03 PM

Love the block! You did a good job.

Mt Glory 07-10-2013 04:13 AM

You said you were using satin thread...is it just a sewing thread or regular embroidery thread...& is there a specific blue you used...I really like it...looks very nice .

buddy'smom 07-10-2013 04:28 AM

Thank you, I used DMC # S798, I also use thread heven on it as it will fray more without it. It does not affect the floss at all.

That is beautiful. Love the blue. I am working on the Redwork Twitterings from epatterns Central and I am doing mines in blue also. It will hang in my dining room.
