Thank you all so much!! You know how to make a girl feel good! You are my quilting friends!! No one I know has the least interest in this sort of thing.
I am going to look for the basting spray. That sounds great. This quilt is prob 40"X48". Would one can be enough? Hmmm...tying! Hadn't thought of that! That could be an option. This quilt is from the clothing of a nearly five-year-old, so I'm not worried about the ties being swallowed. I'll have to look for some tied quilts. Probably less chance for error this way! |
What a cute quilt!! Your borders are great, love what you did and your corners are right on, great job!! If your going to quilt with your feed dogs up I would be sure and use your walking foot to help pull the fabric thru evenly.

What technique do you like? Also, I guess as far as quilting (another first!!), it will be SID, though that is where the most material/layers are!! Very bulky because my fabrics are all knits that have fusible interfacing and have been sewn to a muslin foundation. Any tips here?? Thanks to everyone who has helped and encouraged me so far!! The end is in sight! |

What a wonderful memory quilt! When I think of all the cute knits that I didn"t think to keep for a quilt!!!!! I"ve tied quilts, but I used the perle cotton floss. I think it does a little nicer job, and it comes in such pretty colors.
