Some Finished Christmas Gifts

Made these ironing board caddies for some quilting buddies. Each end is weighted. One end has "trash" pocket and the other end has pocket with three divisions for ripper, etc. Each has a coordinating pincushion.

SewExtremeSeams 12-15-2014 06:18 AM

What a cool idea!!! Sew creative. Maybe some day (after Christmas :D ) you could post a tutorial. They all look very pretty.

Your caddy would definitely be a great place to store a glue stick and lots of other things we use at the ironing board. Thanks for posting your creativity.

Very cute!

RedGarnet222 12-15-2014 09:40 AM

I dearly love practical gifts that are truly functional. This one is a real winner! I could see how it would work great while pressing and working on our quilting projects. Each one has a different personality to the fabrics. Great idea and pretty finish on them you clever girl!

Pollytink 12-15-2014 09:51 AM

I need one of these. I have thought of doing something like this to hang on the wall by the ironing board.

katesnanna 12-17-2014 05:18 AM

Thank you for this and for reminding me of Tip Nut. I use to get her newsletter all the time.

A great gift.

Digitabulist 12-17-2014 05:40 AM

That cat fabric was from my stash. Bought a few years ago and made a FQ bag for my sister who is a "crazy cat lady". My cousin, who that caddy is for, also is a cat lover.

I used a pattern downloaded from Cotton Way by Bonnie Olaveson www.cottonway.com. It is #968, Ironing Board Organizer. You can find a picture of it on an actual ironing board, which looks a little different than the flat on the floor pictures I posted. I did not include the ribbon and scissors on those that I made.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to those that celebrate.
